I've got a way too big Black alocasia in my 29 gallon tank. I've noticed over the past month or two this kinda of root/knotty thing poking up through the moss next to it I'm starting to think its a flower but its been taking it a long time. Could it be the Alocasia or is it something else?

Whats a corm? I've had the plant throw up multiple leaves from the same stalk (even a couple in the while its taken this thing to develop). I thought maybe it was a flower b/c the inside looks sort of pink and the "stalk" looks very different from the other one.

It is that fleshy underground mass where the leaves and roots are produced. In other words, what you have is the start of a new plant.

When my black velvet bloomed it stunk up my whole room for a day or two so you probably shouldn't be hoping for any anyways
