I have been browsing a zoo/aquarium exhibit company and ran across this: http://www.dlmanwarren.com/vines.PDF

Any ideas on what kind of materials that might be available to the every day person that could be used to coat the rope/wire frame? I was thinking this might be a very doable project for a viv...

About a year ago I came across a website were the person made vines from twisted wire, silicone, and ground coconut. I emailed the owner and he sent me the pics, and gave me permission to post them on a webpage.
I will get them put up and post a link here. I think this is a great idea!
Thanks for the link you posted, it has some great ideas!

Yea, that is his name.
His webpage was removed a while back, but interesting on the rest of the info. I couldn't remember if it was the vivaria forum or the naturalist vivaria forum, but the later didn't have and results in a search. I will have to search the other.

Thanks,

I think I know who you're talking about...and pretty sure he was from Norway. He was keeping exotic herps that the government didn't allow in the country, and ended up getting caught.
