I've had success with this in 3 vivs now. I just set up a new one so I took a few photos. Since I don't mist very often and tend to keep things drier than some other people I came up with this.
The trick is to use as little water as possible to get the clay to stick to the glass. I've had the top half go completely dry and didn't have but a few tiny cracks.
The mix in the picture is just kitty litter with a little redart for color, but I've got it to work with both straight littler and litter/peat mix.
It will be a little crumbly but you should still be able to make a ball.
I'll break a ball that sized up into 3-4 pieces and press it as hard as i can into the glass. The more compact it is the stronger it will be.
