...is it the same thing?
Would the Eco-earth "coco bedding" used in the substrate be the same as the "coco fiber" used on the "Great Stuff/coco fiber" background?
If not, where do you find coco fiber?

Just different names for the same stuff: finely ground coconut husks. What you see in the store is not actually the whole coconut. There's a tough skin with a fiberous husk around it that's usually 2-4 inches deep. The husk is shucked off before the coconuts make their journey to the grocery store among other places. The husks are then skinned and ground up to make coco bedding, coconut chips, cocos panels, and other products. Here's a picture of an unhusked coconut that's been drilled to use as a shelter from Superior. Gives you an idea what a coconut really looks like.
