Does anyone know the name of this plant? Also I was told it would be okay in a moist environment. What do you guys think?

that's pilea "moon valley". Its a great viv plant, and loves the high humidity. It seems to do better with more light in my experience, and with more light, the top leaves get a pinkish tint to them. I have some in my 20 gallon auratus tank. Its only been there for about 2 months, but has already grown a bunch and even bloomed for me (a cool thing about it is when it blooms, it shoots out puffs of "smoke" when the flowers open). Here is a picture of mine

Your plant is called "Moon Valley" Pilea. As long as your substrate isn't waterlogged, it should do fine.

Thanks guys. Ryan that's a very cool pic and I appreciate the info. I got it at Walmart for $3 bucks and I like its texture. But you know Walmart half the stuff is labeled just "plant" so its hard to track down more if you like it. Thanks again. So now I have Larry the Moon Valley plant living with my cobalts Ricky and Lucy.
