I have placed the central bromeliad into a hole in the cork round, as the base of the brom was at about a 90 degree angle it fit in perfectly and I secured it with some plastic coated wire. It has been mounted this way for about 4 months now and although it is sprouting runners in to the air, it doesn't seem to be securing itself to the cork very well, and if I bump it even slightly during feeding or other maintenance it will move a good bit. My question is will it eventually secure itself so i can remove the supports? Do I need to secure it better? Any input would be appreciated.
