Has anyone ever attempted to grow brassavola nodosa (lady of the night) in a terrarium. If it is mounted to tree fern, should it be placed high in the tank or can it be near the bottom?

B. nodosa is a high light plant that originates from regions that are fairly dry. These plants get water from periodic rains during the rainy season and then only from morning dews the rest of the year. You could probably keep the plant alive for a while but will most likely loose it due to rotting from over watering and high humidity.
When selecting orchids for the viv I always say look at the leaves and stems. If both are thin or small then the plant is more likely then not from an area that gets more rain and has higher humidity. These plants can more easily tolerate conditions in our vivs.
