First time poster...

Although I've kept darts successfully in the past I am still at that novice stage and I'm just after a bit of advice from those of you with more experience....I picked up a gorgeous pair of brasils (6 month old) last Monday. Over the week I have noticed that although they pick on at the odd springtail here and there they aren't touching the flies (as far as I can tell anyway ... Certainly not enough to drastically reduce the number of flies in the viv). They are being given the same size flies as they are used to and the temps are about 75/77f during the day and 69f at night. They seem happy enough hopping round the tank etc and are certainly not losing weight...at the moment anyway! Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Wondering the same thing. What's a Brasil? Do you mean a Brazilian Yellow Head (first thing that came to my mind...)?

I should think he is referring to d. tinctorius 'Brasil'. A valid name for that morph, even used on the tropical experience morph guide (Colour morph 27 on there).

Obrowell I already answered this I am pretty sure on another forum, so I wont repeat it all again. ;)

Are the flies being dusted with a different supplement than the frogs are used to? Sometimes the different taste throws them off for a bit, but they come around after a week or two, IME.
