I've dwindled my frogs down drastically. I've kept my big tinc in a 29g minimum, but have since gave pairs 40b tanks. The behaviour difference is crazy. My aureus pair is out a lot more not that they hid, but with a lot less squabbles. Same for giant orange and cobalt.

I know it sounds like a big tank for 2 little frogs, but its so much more enjoyable watching them with increased acitivity etc.

29g worked fine don't get me wrong but the jump to 40b has been worth while as a keeper. Just figured I mention my observation. I wish I had five this yrs ago

I totally agree that larger enclosures are better. 40 breeders make great vivs, especially when converted to vent top/front opening. Thanks for bringing this up, the new kids really need to think about this with all the information about keeping tincts in smaller environments.
And you get to have cooler plants in a larger area.
