I was sure that this was a male for a while now. But I'm having second thoughts. I saw it on the back of a 100% known male the other day, but I assumed it was fighting. This is the largest auratus in the tank of 3 individuals. You can see from the first pic its girth has changed a lot since I got it, and it was not very fat at first. That was much of why I figured it was male. This girth change has happened in the past 3 weeks. The bottom 2 pics show the frog as it is currently. Any thoughts on sex?

You think its a male? Hmm I was gonna say female, but only bc of pictures #2 and #3. Where is Matt Mirabello when you need him?

I witnessed a confirmed female auratus wrestling with her male tank mate so it could be that this frog is a female. And also pics 2 and 3 make me think female as well.

sexing frogs

Pic 3 looks like the frog has a deep belly, it's easier when you can compare animals but females will usually have a deeper, wider belly. Pic 3 would tell me female.
