My first try at culturing bean beetles was a failure. But after trying again I have six cultures. My wife left the lid off one and a lot of beetles got loose in the kitchen. The beetles are inoffensive an disappeared after a few days.

I wouldn't eat any beans out of that kitchen for a while. At least not black eyed peas.

Or, you could try Pumilo.

Put a bowl of dried black eyed peas out to gather up your wayward beetles

Just remember to change it occasionally. I put one up on a tank and forgot about it. Pretty soon they were breeding in the bowl.
