At this moment we have 2 calling males and 1 female (although we are not %100 sure) in a 55 gallon tank.
When we transfered the 2 males from another tank into this tank, the female immediately jumped on top of 1 male and aggressively wrestled him. Since then there has not been any problems. Recently though, the female has become extra protective of her springtails. Whenever 1 of the males approaches her "spot" where the sprintails are, she jumps on top of the male without wrestling him, and then in return he starts calling. If the male does not move from her spot she then moves closer to him and with one of her back legs she kicks him repeatedly until he retreats.
We are confused by her behaviour, although we're fairly sure she is not a male as she has never called.
Any insight????

weird. Are the genders correct? I've heard of females fighting and I thought I read that they attempt to drown the weaker rival in water. But again I do not know alot about PDF's so I could be wrong.
