Hey guys and gals. I have a question... I'm planning on doing a tank for some frogs (not darts) and I want to have have a waterfall in this tank. So what backgrounds can I do to make a good waterfall? Meaning that it will hold up well for a long time and look nice.

I don't want to use GS because I have had bad results before and I don't think that clay would hold up well... Any suggestions? I'm kinda blank with ideas right now.

Try Vivarium Works The best backgrounds you can find that holds up in water. and they LOOK AWESOME!! Tell him David Gregory Sent you. Trust me!!

I second that. I just received my products from them and am really happy with them. I purchased the waterfall drop-in and miscellaneous rock kits. They'll make them in either hard resin or soft Polyurethane. I recommend the PUR. It's really soft and easier to manipulate when attaching.

You can use GS covered with epoxy and peat on top of that. That should hold up long time. Silicone, flevopol/compaktuna doesn't hold up for long.

You can use a black spray foam, its meant for waterfalls/ponds. Just cover the back glass with silicone before adding the foam, because the foam won't stick directly to the glass.

I've used the black pond foam before but I like it only a little better than GS.
