Hello I currently keep 3 species of darts in different vivs over here in Ireland. I have read alot over the past few weeks about azureus which I currently have a pair of. They are housed in a 2ft,2ft exo and was woundering of adding 1 more.

This is just a question I would love to add 1 more to the viv, but I have to look at other factors ie bullying aggres, adult size etc

Would like to hear any suggestions.

:)

I Like groups but Ill be honest its pretty risky adding a frog to an already established group or pair. If its a male added to a male-female pair you may have better luck or if your frogs are still pretty young. When groups grow up together its much easier. Do you know the sex of your frogs now? for me, that and age are the deciding factors. if you have 2 females you could add a male of similar size, the problem is if the females start fighting over the male...if you have males you will probably be ok unless they are older then they can get a bit fiesty.

I agree with Eyeviper...adding to adult tincs is simply a big chance. If you decide to try it, and it doesn't work, you then have to have a plan for what you are going to do with the new frog. I have seen the female on female aggression which they are famous for...and I've also seen males really beating up on males. You do have a better chance if they are raised together...but even that can change shortly after they start breeding.
