just cut the center brace out. as for it being horizontal. it will be harder to get to the ground if need be. you will have to stick your whole arm in there.
65 Gallon Build
I have a drilled 65 gallon tank I am wanting to turn into a viv. I got it off of Craigslist for $25 
. The down side is that is was a drilled tank where the center over flow was. The holes are in the center bottom glass too. I'm trying to decide if I should make it a vertical or leave horizontal. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
