I am currently in the process of creating two 29 gallon verts. I want to have a side opening door and have been trying to figure out the best way to hinge the glass. My current plan is to use 2-3 hinges and epoxy them to the glass and the tank frame but I am not sure if they will be strong enough to hold the glass.

Below are some pictures of the hinges and the tank please let me know if you think it would work.

It worked great although I used a slightly different hinge. I will try to get some pictures of the finished assembly!

The epoxy I used is designed to bond to both glass and plastic and since there is only stress on the hinges when the door is open ( otherwise the door is resting on the bottom piece of glass ) I am not worried about it failing. Hopefully I will not be proven wrong, currently I couldn't pull the doors off if I wanted to.
