Hey guys,

So I was hiking with my Dad the other day and found the most incredible piece of driftwood, and it was just what I needed to make over my first vivarium, which I threw together before I really knew what I was doing. It turned out so beautiful I just had to share! :D

The old viv had a clay background, pretty poor little gravel soaking area in the front, a bunch of random plants and some moss. The new viv has a tree bark and sphagnum background which is siliconed to the glass, vines planted against the background, driftwood piece, 4 broms, a few small patches of moss and leaf litter. It has been seeded with temperate springtails.

This tank will be used to house 3 or 4 leucomelas froglets that I will be buying myself as a 'congratulations, you've spent all your money on dart frogs' present! :D

Also, before anyone asks or comments, let me assure you that I spent hours and hours and did everything in my power to make every single item I put in this tank safe for the frogs using information I learned by reading threads on this site. :) Couldn't have done it right without you guys!

I'm a little concerned about the broms seemingly being rooted into the substrate? That may cause some root rot. I think they would prefer to be mounted to the driftwood.
Yeah I did try to mount them but I couldn't find a good spot that wasn't too close to the ceiling and didn't cover too much of my beautiful wood ;). Also I figured since they were potted broms and were growing well in the pot they'd do okay planted in the substrate?? I guess I'll just wait and see. Thank for the compliment! I'm pretty sure I decided to go with leaf litter after reading one of your posts! :)

That's not a bad idea! I'll try mounting them to the driftwood again and if I can't make it work I'll go with the cork bark. Thanks!

Got my leucs last weekend! :D Just thought I'd share some pics. I got these gorgeous guys from Lisa Chesney and they are such a joy to own! They are out almost all the time and really do climb all over the wood piece! It looks like so much fun!:) There are three of them and they are 2-3 months old.
