Started by making a plexi top to replace the full screen top that came with it. Then i removed the rear and side glass( nice part about this tank is you assemble it) 20210207_182411.jpg
Then i proceeded to tape off the edges that slide into the groves of the frame assembly, once that was done i silconed the 2 sides and the rear glass and allowed to cure.
Next i started to layout the rear panel 20210207_160730.jpg 20210207_182411.jpg 20210208_145338.jpg 20210208_151603.jpg 20210207_184354.jpg

I silconed the cork bark pieces in place and gorilla glued the cork bark tube to the large flat and allowed it all to cure. I then attached another tube to the left side glass

Then i installed the panels back in to check how it looks

Next was to work on the back panel and add the GS and background mix

What to do with the bottom opening?

I decided to screen it in, I'm adding plant cups at the top and this will allow water to drain down into the substrate from the net pots above

One suggestion with the plant placement. The pink plant in the background looks like a Cryptanthus. They prefer the jungle floor rather then the arboreal setting. You could place it in the background though. I’ve done it but it’s not as red as most Cryptanthus are. Yet again you’re just messing around with the placement so keep on going.

HOw are the doors on those Carolina Custom Cages for fruit fly escape? And overall how's the material/build quality of their terrariums?

They are very well built and assembling is stright forward and easy. The gap is close on doors but might be a issue with FF's but something i can easily address if that proves to be an issue.

Recived my GBT order and did some more work on the build. Placed a piece of Ghost wood and started the sides
