Well i took all of your guys advice and decided 55 one species i dont need that so i decided on just a 20 instead.

For now i will just want one but when i get into the hobby more i will get more anyways where is a good idea to buy 20 gallon tanks petco(i hate petco) sells them for $50 yuck. I think theres a pet store where i could buy one used but heres my plan

Substrate, I used coco fiber with fir bark which seems to work fine.

$50 for a 20. Stay away. Around my area 20's go for $25 easily. I would also go with a background. For substarte I have used coco bedding with tree fern fiber. Listen to others substrate ideas too, you may like them better. I may like to try something different if I hear of something good. I would go 20 over 55 also.

96 watts is probably too much, a 55W would be more appropriate.

About the background what is the easiest material to be able to attach plants to? and could i get a link

As far as soil i am thinking coco+tree fern and perhas some leaf litter here and there.

So how about cultures where is the best place to learn and buy from

Have you already checked out the temps in the tank with that light on it?
If not, set it up, put you're light on its timer for and appropriate photoperiod and moniter the temp (a min max feature is nice for this)
I have a 15H that doesn't quite have the watts per gallon that you intend to use (but almost), but I wouldn't dream of putting frogs in there until I get a smaller bulb. The temps in that tank have reached the low 90's on a regular basis...more than ten degrees higher than most people recommend for dart frogs. I'm just letting the plants grow for now.

why is the eggcrate neccessary if your using clay pellets?

It is not necessary. There are other substrate dividers that can be used. For example the non metal windowscreen (I guess fiberglass) that you can get at a hardware store or blackjungle would cut it to the specified size.

Try Petsmart. Around here a 20 gallon long sells for around $22 to $25 depending on if they're on sale or not. At some Petsmarts (not all) you can find 18 gallon talls (think two 10 gallons stacked on top of one another) for around $19.

I was just gonna use eggcrate as a barrier between the glass and pellets and mybe so i could add a pump. what if you just used a filter and siliconed things to it to make it look like a waterfall+filter mybe i will try!!!

Anywho the last place i called and cheapest so far a 20 was 29.99 i will find a petsmart i guess.

I dont have the tank yet so i cant check the temp my 96w has built in fans and i have to computer fans that are rigged to an adapter in case i need to keep it cooler.

Ok heres a question i would like to know where can i buy a tank with one of those acrylic front doors or are those diy?
Mybe i should just build my tank.

Remember, 20 gallon tanks come in more than one configuration. For rectangular tanks, there's 20 gallon talls and 20 gallon longs. Both hold 20 gallons, but the shape is different. Depending on what kind of frog you're getting, they might prefer one or the other.

I want to start a springtail culture in the tank before i get frogs(i know tehy will all get eaten quickly
Soringtail culture=How many need to be set up to feed 3 pumilios and how i will research i am not that far in my book yet
FF culture= i should probably use the smalle specie of ff due to the pumilio size. Will they eat hydei
