This is my 1st vert set up since joining the hobby. I always talk about just using the black spray foam. In all honesty using an off white/yellow foam takes an extra day longer and you need more silicone. Too much work for something that you won't see after 6-8 months.

Materials:
Touch "N" Foam Land Scape
Drift Wood
4 Film Canisters
Black Silicone

Very nice.. so far so good!.. I like your thinking about the yellowish 'Great Stuff' versus the all black expanding foams on the market. Once I found these, I use them exclusively and like you said saves money (on extra silicone) AND time!!.. Whatchya got lined up as far as residents? Be careful... you're gonna get hooked and in about 6 months, you'll be saying this is my 10th vertical build ... lol

I have some Amazonica tad's right now. I'm waiting for NE to send my vert kit. Since I'm trying to go the Thumb route, I will be having a bunch of verts so you're right. This bg will be done by tomorrow. You really save on time and money. No peat moss and extra coats of silicone. I used black foam already and it came out great.

Sorry for the long turn around. Here are shots after everything is foamed in. I wasn't able to get good shots of the film canisters that were on a 45 degree angle. I'm still waiting for the converter kit, it should be here in a few days.

I applied some silicone and TB3 on a few film canisters and put them in peat moss. After everything dried I siliconed them on to the side panels of the glass. I had to make up for some error's I made in one of the builds. I got a tad so, I don't want to mess things up.
