Hi all, I have a 40G breeder set up growing in, with the standard wire mesh lid. On top of the lid are an LED light, a PC fan for circulation, and a plastic cover I scrounged from an aquarium hood. This leaves approx a 36"X6" strip of uncovered lid mesh exposed. Pics attached for reference...

I used this Crane Ultrasonic I had at the house. Looks like they're 40 bucks new. Tubing and corrugated plastic came from home depot (cheap). Plastic makes a great top over the screen, keeps humidity in. Easy to cut with a utility knife, hole for light and one for tubing. I guess its all pretty...

Hello, everyone! I'm a newb in the PDF hobby, but have always been fascinated by tropical plants and frogs. After months of research, I converted a 29 gallon (long) aquarium into a vivarium with a ledge for hanging plants, a small pond, and a dribbling waterfall. However, I have no lid...

Hello, I have a 20 gallon high I am making a lid for. I have two cut and drilled (for ventilation) pieces of 3/16" glass. I am trying to connect them with a living hinge purchased from NE herpetoculture, on their website it says that 3/16" fits, I believe it does but I am having the worst time...

What's the maximum safe hole size in 3/16" glass for ventilation and how many can I have. Where should they be located in the lid? This is for a two piece 20 gallon high. Would a few 3/8" holes work or do I need to go bigger? Thank you!

I got a piece of glass cut at my hardware store for a lid to my viv and I am noticing that the side that faces into the viv has started to smell kind of strongly. The whole viv doesn't smell so I don't think it is having much of an impact but I just wanted to make sure I am not gassing my frogs...

Is there a company that sells pre made glass lids with some venting? I have a 20g build I am going to start over the next several months and don't really want to use a versa top. Doesn't fit well and flies escape. If not does anyone know a good easy way to make one?

So I have been looking for hours at different lids. I have heard that a mesh lid will work but then im worried the wingless fruitflies might be able to get through so then I was thinking a glass lid but can't find one that I think will work. I also haven't really figured out lighting, I plan on...
