Has anyone used the Fluval Plant Spectrum 3.0 LED for their viv's. I'm building a 24" x 24" x 24" cube and am very attracted to the bluetooth feature and capabilities that it has (i.e. the gradual change from day/night, ability to control the color spectrum [R/B specific]). I was also looking at...

I have a 13W LED bulb from Josh's Frogs in an Exo Terra hood on my 12x12x18. The lighting is covering the back well but the front needs a bit more light. I was thinking of another LED bulb but I feel like it would be too much. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well I have been wanting to build a a nice show tank for awhile so figured I would pick a nice 24' cube aquarium. Im planning the build for either some Oophaga pumilio or a some kind of ranitomeya. The tank will be a 360 degree view so no background will be made. I picked out a really nice piece...

Hi - I don't post often, but I wanted to call out this light that I saw buried in another thread, and which I purchased recently to replace a broken Kessil A380WE "sun" light. The light output from these is not as intense, but visually very similar to the Kessil. GLW® 30w 110v Outdoor Led...

I have discussed this before with Dendro Dave in messages. He has recommended Ecoxotic E series. I am looking for LED light for my Exoterra setup that can penetrate over 24inches into my tank for plants. I am wanting a light that has adjustable spectrum and can "ramp up" making the lighting...

This is hopefully going to be a picture heavy construction journal of my 90 gallon paludarium. I have had a hi-tech 75 gallon planted tank for the last 5 years and I decided it was time to try something different. I know everyone says not to mess with water features in your first build, but...

Hello, I am starting two new 20 gallon verts to replace my existing 20 gallon verts. I currently have 2 Current USA led lights that span the two tanks but they do not provide enough light to the lower portions of the tanks. I am thinking about going back to Jungle Dawn leds as I have always...

Hello Does anyone has experince with red/blue plant grow "hydro" led lights in PDF vivariums? Usually people use it for indoor "hydro" plants (Cannabis, and other plants), but I wonder what it will do to ferns, mosses, broms', orchids, etc. Here are two cheap ebay examples of the kind of...

I'm completely lost when it comes to lighting. I am in the process of planting a large enclosure (28" tall/36" wide/28" deep) and am currently trying to figure our how best to light it. Plant growth is important to me, but I'd like not to spend hundreds of dollars on state-of-the-art reef tank...

Hello everybody, There are multiple types of LED's out there (5050, 3258, etc.) and I am under the impression that not all of these are equal in terms of lm/W output. Can anyone give me an answer on that and a source for more information? If this is the case then I would assume that it makes...
