Default Norcal Clay substrate help

Hey Norcal froggers,

I'm working on a clay substrate for my new orange lamasi tank and haven't been able to find calcium montmorillionite clay. It's also called koi pond powder and it provides a lot of the minerals for the microfauna in the viv. I was wondering if any local froggers had a half cup or so I could buy from them or if anyone knows an easy place to find it around Sacramento. It's the last thing I need before I can start planting my tank. Thanks for any help folks can provide.

Cliff

I haven't tried this yet. Let me know how it ends up when you get it done.

Did you contact these guys to see if they sell the pond powder?

I ended up ordering it from Foster and Smith. Got it now and got it in the viv. That substrate looks awesome. I should know in a little bit how well the springs and other microfauna do in the clay based substrate.
