Default Reno\Tahoe\surrounding areas

Lets tyr to set up a meet and greet for those of us in this area, I'm thinking within a 1.5-2 hour drive of Reno.

I'd be willing to host the first meet if we all want to do this.

I'm willing. I'm in the Placerville area. I have a few extra frogs for sale if anyone is interested.

WOW! Asked this over a year ago and the only one I got a reply from was Salix!

I'm in So. Lake Tahoe and would be interested I'm putting some final touches on my tank which I haven't had a chance to finish in the last year so hoping for frogs soon.

I saw one other person who is looking to get into the hobby on the forums nearby and someone else who is in Reno. Looking somewhat hopeful for their actually being others around into darts.

I'm willing to give it a shot...hows about the last friday in Feb for a first meet.
Like I said, I'm willing to host it here in Carson City.

I'd like to be that excuse, but I'm still fairly new to phibs, so I'm not too sure how much of a "meeting" this will be.

I'm hoping overall that we can meet locals and be able to help eachother out a little.

It's a bit of a put for me, (maybe 5 hours?) I'd consider a road trip and combining the meeting with other adventures up there but a Saturday would definitely be better than a Friday.

Good Luck with the meet,

John

If a saturday is easier for everyone I can try to get it off from work...at this point not too difficult.

Let me know what we need to do to make this happen.

Yeah, a weekend is better for me. Let me know when and I'll try to see if I can make it. I do have some extra frogs, I can put together some cultures (ff's, bean beetles, springtails, isopods) if anyone is interest and plant cuttings.

I live in Reno and have some frogs and plants I could bring for a meeting I'm the only breeder that I know of in Nevada. I don't have a store or website or anything but I sell quite a few frogs. I'll send a PM to the guy hosting, thanks for hosting by the way, I'd be willing to host in the future.

About the only thing I have to trade is plantcuttings and I can help people start roach colonies for their herps.

I can also help out with planning and building tanks and enclosures as about half of our critters are in custom made accomodations.

While I would love to get the gecko, I'm running out of viv space
Now if someone has a pair of some type of tinc, I could work something out (got an empty tank waiting).

I do also have some extra leucs.

On a different note, If there are any photo buffs out there, I could use some help figuring out my cam. I have no probs with the standard lens, but when I try the macro, things kinda go to .........

Well, we'll have to take a look. I shoot with Canon, although most of my extra lenses are Sigma as well.

I'll make sure to have a few extra rolls of film for it...I used to use it with a tripod for pics of miniatures, But my business partner usually handled the shots.

So far I know of 2 people coming for sure, azure89 and salix, other than that, I'm not sure.

I just need to get some PM's and get a head count.

If anyone has some riccia or java, I can trade some other plant cuttings.

We'll see you guys/gals tomorrow, I'm looking forward to those azureus from Salix!

I would like to try another meet, we'll just have to work around the weather this time ( winter sucks!!).
Personally I'd just need a little time to rebuild funds to get that pair from salix!

Keep posting, let's see if we can work this thing out!

Welcome Perez,

I'd be interested in a local meet up as well.

I'm up in Tahoe, but I'd be willing to host if we can get a group together.
