I had a similar situation with black red eyes and lame males with the exact ratio being 2.3 so I decided to trick my males. I separated the females from them for awhile. Then only introduced 1 female and then the calling or competition started. After the first male mounted the female I put in another female and the losing male was all hyped up and quickly mounted the second female. I don't know if that would work in your situation. I see this is an older post but maybe you could try it in the future of you run into the same problem. Time span was over a couple nights.
