Default Red eyed tree frog or clown tree frog?

Which would you personally recommend for an intermediate level owner? I've done the research on both but only have one spare Viv. Which are more active? Pros/cons for both would be great!

I have kept clowns and red eyes in the past and both are amazing frogs and it really depends on what you want. Red eyes(females) are larger and imo a bit hardier than clowns. They are both nocturnal so you won't see much activity out of either during the day but both are very interesting to watch at night. Clowns do have more vibrant colors but the bright red eyes are also pretty cool. Its definitely not an easy choice.

As much as I would vote for clowns (beautiful!) I would say go try and acquire some CB red eyes. Now days they are easy to come by, and you could also venture out and get some different variations (Xanthic, Black, etc.)
This would support the CB demand, as well as give you a more than likely healthier frog VS. wild caught.
