Default Heliamphora minor Growth rate?

Hey all, I just bought two Heliamphora minor plants and they came about the size of a quarter. Does anyone know how long it takes to grow to a somewhat plantable size or even till they get real pitchers?

Growth rate will depend on the conditions the plant is growing in - especially the lighting and humidity provided.

Heliamphora minor is not a terribly difficult plant - one of the easiest Heliamphora to grow, in fact - and can put on quite a bit of size in one year, once established. However, starting from a size as small as what you describe, it may be at least a year until you start to see what you might consider a 'typical' pitcher and, potentially, as many as two to three years before you see a full-sized, mature pitcher.

My recommendation would be to ensure that you have it planted in an ideal media/substrate and in a location where it can grow without disturbance - whether that is in a temporary pot in a grow-out tank or in a vivarium, it doesn't matter much. Heliamphora don't have terribly complex root systems, even once mature, and the pitchers themselves can be somewhat fragile as well, so it's best to leave it alone as much as possible. Once you start to see pitchers forming, you can begin to water it with a dilute fertilizer, which should help the growth rate a bit.
