Default Bright indirect light?

I just set up my first grow-out bins on a rack system. Care guides for some of the species I'm keeping specify bright, indirect light when they're kept as house plants.

How does that translate for my grow out bins? Would these species be ok right under my LEDs? Should I add some window screen mesh as a shade cloth?

I'm using a 5000k, 2500 Lumen LED shop light. Thanks in advance!!

Well, the lumens you should throw at plants depends on the area you're lighting and the distance of the plants from the light. That said, many folks use LED shop lights as-is. Should be fine.

Thanks for the response! I guess my question is, how far from the 2500 Lumen shop light should I place the plants that need "bright, indirect light"?

Right now, I have a racks placed 10 inches and 22 inches below the light. Which height would better replicate "bright indirect light" sunlight?

I'd start on the 10 inch shelf. As you grow plants, you'll learn how to 'read' them -- they'll tell you if they want more or less light.
