Default 6 months of growth.

I just wanted to show off my 40g breeder. It's been a trip to get the plants that will grow in these conditions, that work well together, and to figure out how to water so as to not OVER water. For a few months I had two heat Matt's set up under it that would turn off and on on a sensor. I didn't realize it was front out my soil super quick which was hurting a lot of my growth. Kinda bummed me out cuz I didn't realize what was happening. But I shut the mats off and everything has started bouncing back! And the tank stays in the high 70s. I installed a computer fan on a WiFi plug so I can control it from my phone too. All in all everything looks good! Wish I had started this standing up because it looks better from the top down... But... You live and learn. Whatcha think?

Those ferns are beautiful, the ones toward the top of the first photograph. If you remember which species you have, I'd love to know.

All the plants look nice with that mist glistening on them. It was a pleasant photo to look at.

That one is a Korean Rock Fern. It is just now bouncing back. (That one I did remember...)

In addition to the Korean rock fern, I see a birds nest fern and some sort of kangaroo paw fern. Other unnamed plants so far are creeping fig, Peperomia Caperata and Hemigraphis Purple waffle. I'm assuming all of the plants are Angel tropical plants from a big box store.

I'm not sure how the birds nest fern will do long term, they can grow pretty big http://www.saveourwaterwaysnow.com.a...pop.asp?ID=104

Left to it's own devices, the creeping fig will take over. Be prepared to prune mercilessly.

I'm cool with the ficus taking over. I'm hoping to have it cover the sides. But I've been trimming the offshoots more lately to get it to go that way. Yea I've read bird's-nest gets huge but I'm planning to let it grow and trim it accordingly....or so I'm hoping!!! And yes some of these are from Angel but most are from a local greenhouse that had some good selections. And that purple waffle was from Menards....got a big plant for a dollar!!
