Default New End of Summer/Start of Fall Project

Hi All

Just a little something to pass the waning days of summer. It's a 2.5 gal aquarium that I converted for some miniature orchids. Will post an update when the orchids arrive, but I wanted to begin cycling the setup with some moss and a small Fittonia. I also wanted to get a springtail colony established so I added some. I am also trying out one of Tropical Breeze's low profile fans since I am in such a small space (6"x 10"x 12"). Still have a little work with hiding the wires from my temp probe and the fan. Well here it is.
Encyclia and narnythegreat like this.

Miniature orchids are such great plants for terrariums. I'm looking forward to seeing it planted!

*Update*

Orchids came in and I added them to the lil'tank. I also added a couple of companion plants that hopefully will fill the tank in.

Orchids:

Scaphosepalum breve
(a little bigger than I thought it'd be and I may move it if it gets too crowded.)

Lepanthes uxoria (little purplish guy in the upper right)

Companions:

Fittonia argyroneura

Pilea glauca 'aquamarine'

Peperomia perciliata

Otherwise I have been waiting for the moss to establish.

I added a couple of (hopefully) smallish orchids to my 75g palludarium. I don't want big but want some color other than green and brown in the tank.
