Hey everyone just wondering the best places to order good quality plants online for the tank. And also wondering where everyone gets the hygrolon, bark, or similar material for backround and growing plants on!

Depends on what you're looking for really. It was between Glassboxtropicals and Neherp for me because of the packages they were offering. Finally decided on Neherp but I've also ordered from Josh's Frogs and bromeliads.com for individual stuff. Check em out.

While all the establishments listed are ace, I can't recommend NE herp enough. The service is above and beyond.

Also, check out local aquarium specialty shops.

I can certainly agree that NEHERP's staff is very amenable. And the amount of serious information they provide on the site --- on viv building, lighting, herp care --- is valuable to any newcomer to the frog world.

The only thing I've had against NEHERP in the past is somewhat longer-than-necessary handling times before shipping products out. But since then, since branching out and ordering from several different businesses, I've noticed that most of them have lengthy handling time as well.

I will second (or third) the recommendation for NEHERP. They have a great ghostwood collection. Glassboxtropicals is great as well. They have a much larger selection, but can be a little pricey. Joshsfrogs has some, but I have not ordered any flora from them. Also check around the marketplace for deals.

here is one from hydrophyte

I can personally back the opinions given about glassbox and NEHERP. I have also placed orders with blackjungle, josh’sfrogs, Tropiflora and bromeliad.com. All the aforementioned take weather and weekends into consideration. Also, most online stores are pretty overpriced for what you get in terms of a clipping of you ask me.

Most shops that cater to our hobby are only going to ship Monday - Wednesday. Even if you get overnight shipping, so keep that in mind when ordering and picking shipping options.

I have my first shipment from frogdaddy arriving today, they have some cool stuff, worth checking out. I would recommend them as well. Also have a shipment arriving tomorrow from a brom nursery in HI, will post again to provide feedback based on arrival condition from them.

On top of those there are also local greeneries to consider as well as the plant marketplace here on the board. I have also been checking out saurian and Etsy as well.

In all honesty, unless you are looking for something specific, I would check the marketplace here on the board. Only because of how pricey the online shops are.. I mean, it seems people here are more generous with the length of their clippings when compared to the online stores. The online stores will give you a clipping that is only a few inches long or a clipping with only a few leaves.. basically bare minimum for healthy clippings. When searching the plant market place here, you might find the same plant, for the same price but, double the length. Also, people tend to post some pretty rare/hard to find stuff on here.. definitely worth a regular check.
