Every year I walk in Krewe de Boo, a scary-themed parade in New Orleans that takes place before Halloween.
This year I'd like to make a costume using driftwood and live plants, akin to a leshen or foresty spirit.
This may include things like driftwood attached to arms (see my 330g build thread for an idea of what that may look like), a hiltless blade attached to a driftwood-made hilt, a driftwood-based headwear (or a deer skull), tillandsias and vines that would have to start growing in the 2.5 months before the event, and more.
I will need the horticultural acumen of Dendroboard's userbase to help me work this out. I am also open to any suggestions. I am prepared for some things not to work as planned, and I'd rather find out sooner than later.
(Also, although I know the wood will be heavy, this should not be a problem. I walked 4 miles in 40 lbs. of chainmail + extra chains the last time I walked in Krewe de Boo.)
