Default Growing neoregelia indoors

Can anyone give me some advice on growing neos indoors? I would like to know what would be better for lighting, LED's or fluorescent lighting. Not sure if I should keep them in a tank to keep humidity in or pot them and water more frequently.
I was thinking about potting them and then putting them in a tank. Or mounting them on eggcrate. Not sure which is best. I live in Wisconsin so outdoors is not an option! Any help is much appreciated!

You can go either way with the light. Watt for watt you'll get a lot more light with LED's but you can get more than sufficient light with a couple of cheapo T5's. It really depends on how much you want to spend.

I've grown a few different species of Neoregelia and Vriesea potted on my windowsill without any issues even though winters here are very dry and cold. I never had to water them more than any other house plant I own, as long as there's water in the leaf axil it should be fine.

That's my experience, though results may differ.
