Default This Pup Ready to Detach?

Hey all, this pups been on the brom since i bought it on February 10th, and is getting a bit big. im wondering if i should take it off the mother soon

I would wait till it is about 2/3 the size of the mother plant. Taht way it is strong enough to grow for its self.

but if i let it grow, wont it kill the mother faster?
thats the main thing im concerned about, i wanna get it off as soon as possible, so i can save the mother.
