I was told this is a jasmine... anybody know what this is? Sorry, it's sideways...

Looks like it could be Ficus Elastica Robusta.

Having googled Stephanotis floribunda, i'd agree with epiphytes etc.

Definitely Stephanotis. The "Madagascar jasmine" is a Hoya relative. Culture similar to Hoya, bright light, moderate water. Will flower periodically, but can put on some size. A fine plant for a bright situation.

I agree, it is a Stephanotis, a wonderfully fragrant flower. I loved growing this one when I was in South Texas.
