Default Macro shots

Just got my first macro lens and had a fun day playing around with it.

Female Blue Foot Leuc

Not so great shot of my second Blue Foot clutch. Only two eggs this time, one good egg!

Found this little fant tadpole on a leaf litter stem the other night. I haven't found eggs / tads in quite a while - so good to see more.

Big momma azureus - the biggest and oldest frog I have.

I'll keep adding photos it will be fun to see if I improve over time.

My mother, who is an avid nature photographer and does trips with professionals, always says the key to pics of animals is to have their eye(s) in focus. These are a great start, I LOVE the tadpole pic and by cropping it with Photoshop(or similar) you can probably make it even better.

Enjoy, I have wanted a macro-lens for a long time.

That's a great tip! TY

It's definitely worth it! I've been shooting through a telephoto all this time It's really fun to see tadpoles magnified and the frog's skin texture close up. Pretty amazing!

great shots, amazing details on the macro level are those gills on the one tadpole sticking out of the side?
