Very cool. That's a pretty big set up... Looks like he uses all of it

Hello everyone. I'm new here, and I thought this would be a good place to start posting.

This is a moth I photographed in the forests of the Ozark Mountains near my home.

Thank you! It's one of the Alypia (forester moth) species, but I'm not sure which one.

This is one of my favorite photos. I took this in March of 2016 while I was visiting the Great Stirrup Cay. There are trails criss-crossing the island, and I got quite a long way down one of them when I realized that my ship might leave without me if I didn't double back. The place is full of iguanas, anoles, hermit crabs, urchins, skinks, and biting midges. It also hosts the very snails whose shells are sold here in the states as hermit crab homes. I was pleased to see that these are the same shells these crabs use in the wild, as well.

This iguana was basking, and didn't mind me taking photos at all. I was probably 15 feet from him at most.

Here's some neat stuff I found in this mossy seep in Sam Houston National Forest. 1. Relapsing fever tick (larva) Ornithodoros turicata 2. Predaceous soil mite (Caeculidae) 3. Feather mite from buzzard feather (Psoroptoididae) 4. The seep!
