Default front bottom vent

I have been trying to think up what to use on the bottom vent of the viv I am making and am drawing a blank. The viv is kinda like the ones on the
German site Rana. It has elevated sliding doors, there are vent strips on the bottom and top to prevent the glass from fogging. My problem is I cant come up with anything that is fruitfly proof, solid and looks good for the bottom vent. This viv is kinda a prototype, I would like to make more of them. Any ideas?

Sorry i saw front bottoms and thought you were talking about something else.

But anyways, phone the guy at Rana, he speaks good english and builds all the tanks himslef onsite. If you want some of the Aluminium mesh he has im sure he would be more than happy to send it to you.

I was haping to go out and see the farm, but im quite far away. The guy offerd to load up his truck, full of plants frogs and gear and drive to the border to meet me. How amazing is that!!!!

It's not a German but a Dutch website.
Excuses for my Dutch English
for the moment in Dutch only

Hey Neil,

This is what we have done in the past.

It is just stainless steel mesh siliconed to the bottom of a piece of glass. Works OK, but the frogs like to poop on the screen. Another idea we have tried is to use the frame material we used to make the vents for the verts, but use S/S mesh instead of the screen.

I am working on a much cleaner front vent now, but still have a few little things to work out.
