Default Bark Background Voting Poll

I know I put a poll on the classified but Bill was complaining that he couldn't vote so here is your poll .

I thought of this idea the other day and before I go to crazy with it I figured I would get every ones opinion. The wood is baked then cured then adhered to the Styrofoam. This creates the ability to drill the background and plant bromeliads and other plants as opposed to messing with plant adhesive and hot glue. I have been testing one in a ten gallon and will post pics of it in a week. It actually appears the the moss is coming back to life that is on the bark which adds a nice effect.

Yeah I would like to know what kind of bark it is. And how is it harvested? In a sustainable way? Harm to the tree? Is it taken off trees that are allready being cut down? . . .

The bark is cottonwood bark that is collected from trees that wear cut down by a local tree company. I asked the company if I could peal bark off of the logs they had in there burn pile. He allowed me to do so and with that being said I can pretty much make it out of whatever you would like me to. I am testing this background on some frogs and plants right now and will have some results soon.

Do you have any updates on this bark? How is it holding up? I have been doing a bit of research on this type of bark and found that some people said that it broke down very quickly and turned to mush.

I was considering doing this in my new viv. I love the look of it.

If you wanted, you can pick up similar slabs, as waste, from most saw mills. And it will even come with a flat back, already
