Default Ready mix cement for vivarium background?

So as title says.
I'm thinking of having a rock type look to the background of one of my vivs and ready mix cement has come to mind because it is cheap and very easy to use.
I'm wondering what you guys think.

I'm aware that it would make the vivarium much heavier, but I'm ready to deal with that. I'm not moving it much and when I do I would have a partner help me.
I'm not worried about the bottom glass breaking as the extra weight would not be concentrated in one spot.
When it would come to placing epiphytes it would be same type process but a drill with very small bit could be used to make holes.

Let me know what you think, or if there is something very similar that works just as well.
Thanks

Keep in mind that any product that uses portland cement needs to be either sealed or neutralized. Otherwise it will have a serious effect on the PH of the soils and/or water in the viv. There are some PH neutral products out there that can be used in the same way, but I haven't used them.
