Default Do You Need To Water Seal Acrylic Paint?

I'm building a waterfall feature for a new vivarium. I'm planning on shaping it from a solid foam block and then sealing it with Drylok masonry waterproofer. Then I'm going to airbrush it with acrylic paint. Will I need to seal over the acrylic paint? Thanks!

Depends on the acrylic.. if its outdoor rated it should be ok.. but Id probably still apply a satin or flat sealer just to be safe..

Can you recommend a herp safe sealer for acrylic paint? Preferably something with a matte non-glossy finish. Thanks!

I found a product called Rain Guard available from Home Depot. Its a sealer, claims to be non-toxic and claims not to change the appearance of the finish. Any thoughts?

What does the MSDS say about its risks to aquatic life? It may be non-toxic to humans, but you'll want to look closely at the details if you're planning to use it with herps, especially amphibians.

MSDS has no toxicity or ecological impact data. It just says you shouldn't flush the stuff into waterways. I'm assuming this is for the uncured form? I think, based on the MSDS, it may contain an ether. Maybe this evaporates as it dries.
