Default Aquarium or Exo-Terra??

I have a 24x18x18 exo and a 20 gallon long aquarium. I am trying to decide which tank to use for my first 2 or 3 dart frogs. Probably Azureus. My biggest fear would be that they would get out of the exo when I'm feeding or doing any quick maintenance because of the front opening.

Can you give me advice on which one to choose and why you feel one would be better than the other.

Thanks!

Go with the front opening. SOOOO much easier for maintenance than having to take the top off the regular tank.

Front opening; either an exo, or get a conversion kit for the 20 long.

At least with D. tinctorius you can generally track exactly where they are and they're not *that* fast. Between that and the lower lip on Exo Terras you should be fine.

Back in the day I used nothing but fish tanks and they work just fine, but like
others have said, that front opening is *way* more convenient. I'm setting up an Exo Terra right now and I really like the front access.

Front opening are designed in 'halves' just to provide security so the frogs DON'T jump out.

Front opening or die for me. The maintenance and hard to clean glass of a traditional aquarium or deep tank is a hobby killer.

Front opening would be much much easier for maintenance. That being said, I only use aquariums because I like the aesthetics of the solid glass as opposed to two doors. But there are days when I stand before all the tanks, ready to clean them, and I dream of a day when I will go the the exo's. lol

Please help me understand why it's more difficult to maintain the aquariums versus the double door exo's? I could see if I were to use a 65 gallon tall tank it would be almost impossible to clean but I'm talking about a 20 long? Not a deep tank at all.
Thanks, looking forward to your insight on this as I've never kept frogs other than the firebelly toads years ago.

I have a 15 long and two front opening exo terras, the 15 long is way more difficult to work in than the front opening tanks.
For me The difference is how you're looking into the tank to do maintenance, I struggle with depth perception when looking down into the tank so front opening tanks are much easier
