I decided to turn a reptile Zilla 40 breeder with a sliding lid into a viv. I'll start by saying, I overdid my false bottom and ate up a lot of airspace and wish I hadn't. Also will PROBABLY go with single mister heads in the corners instead of the double mist head centered, it just doesn't get everything sprayed. we'll see.

Anyways, I started with cutting the matala, and covered most of the back with black aquarium silicone. I attached some cork bark and grapewood pieces, then used black great stuff pond and stone. I also put a pvc pipe with holes drilled to siphon water later. I wasn't sure if the Zilla glass could be drilled and didn't want to risk it or spend time googling it.

Once it cured, another round of silicone and some ABG and peat finished the background. I then added joshsfrogs false bottom and wish I'd just stuck with the matala alone for depth. some bug screen, some sphagnum and then ABG.

I then added the wood, then planted the tank the first time (I've added plants twice since then). I've got a Fluval Planted+ 24/7 CC Light on it. I'm waiting for my custom glass lid to arrive so I can install the misting system and add some dusk moss and then let it sit for a few months. I'm adding dwarf white isos and springtails soon.

The plant list is:
Anoectochilus chapaensis Jewel orchid
Peperomia fagerlindii
Ficus punctata "Panama"
Aglaonema "wishes"
Ficus pumila Creeping fig
Davallia tyermanii Rabbits foot fern
Asplenium nidus Birds best fern
Java moss
Dusk moss mix
1 Neoregelia punctatissima rubra x Hannibal Lector
3 Neo Fireball
5 other unknown Neos

update:
Removed all of the creeping fig (hopefully). Added a little Philodendron micans. Dusk moss mix grew pretty well in most spots and java moss spread around pond. Jewel orchid was propagated from 1 tall plant into 2. Many of the brooms have popped a pup or 2. Looking to add a group of uakarii soon.
