Default bulkhead in tubberware

Anybody think this will be ok? I am too nervous to try and drill glass, and it is cheaper to use large rubbermaid bins.

Basically, I want to drill a 1" hole in the bottom of a rubbermaid bin and put a bulkhead in. While the rubberseal is tight, I'm wonder if the deforming of the container will cause leaks.

As long as its a flat surface it should be OK.

where is the bulkhead located though? in the lid?

I want the bulkhead placed in the bottom. I was concerned if the deformation of the bin from water pressure could cause leaks, but if it's tightly sealed with the o-ring, perhaps it won't cause issues.
