Default Lighting for 20 gallon Tall Vert

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been on the forum for a while but am in the process of replacing two of my Verts with new tanks. I want to know what people would recommend for lighting as LED technology is chaining so fast. What LEDs are people using that would provide sufficient light in a 20 gallon tall vert.

Thanks,
Nathan

I'd probably stick one of these on the top of it.

Agreed, I use the 10watt version of those on my 10 verts and they work great. They run a tad hot, though, so keep at eye on that 30watt version. Might need to use spacers of some sort to keep it from directly contacting the glass.

How would a .5 watt beamworks assembly compare to a current usa satellite in terms of light output?

I'm looking for something to compliment my exo-terra compact top with standard compact bulbs with something like this. You think adding this will be overkill for an 18x18x24??

I'm using this
Amazon Amazon
Finnex FugeRay Planted+ Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, Cliplight

It's pretty nice actually. I've got it three inches above the top on my horizontal ten gallon. I imagine it would work nice on a 20 vert. It's not quite wide enough for the horizontal tank, but the light production is great!
