Default Size ratio to gallon size

I though it was 1 gallon to 231 cubic inches. Right? But I am getting a tank 24"x18"x21.5" and they claim it is 25 gallons. isn't it more like 40 g?

It's a 40g by my calculations as well (and by "my calculations" I mean here)

I get 40g also.

24x18x21.5=9288/231=40.2

Yea, a 25g will only be 12" deep and 20" tall.

OK thanks. Yeah, I found this tank on craig's list.

I was looking for a good size tank for Leucs, that is cheaper than the exo-terra.

Tank already ahs realistic rock face and moss background, glass folding top, light (do not need it, I got some) and heating pad. Total $35.00 and they will meat me half way this Saturday for me to get the tank, good deal huh?

Well, I asked my parents they said, tank, ok, but no more animals. DAMN IT! I still plan on getting the leucs, cuz once I have them I hope they will not notice for a while then when they do, agree that it is not a big deal. Well, wish me luck. I was actually inspired by Mike's (defaced) tanks how they are "harder" more wood less dirt and plan to try this by getting alot of wood form petco, malasian drift wood. Then plant some plants inback and leave front fairly open only with some low growing plants, and maybe a fern of to the side for them to hide in.
