Hi guys,
I'm having a tank made, aquarium style 36L x 18D x 24H (8mm thick) and I want to replicate the top that GRIMM has used on his Peninsula, 6 long glass panels (running length ways, left to right) with the two centre pieces containing the misting nozzles.
My problem and I would be grateful for the advice, is to do with supporting the glass lid panels. The company offer euro bracing that frankly looks awful. My question is, would it be possible to have it brace less and to buy PVC runners from b&q and silicone this around the edge with a bar placed across the middle?
It's only going to have 3-4" water in the bottom so it's mainly to support the weight of the glass lid? Will this work? Has anyone done this before?
Many thanks,
Ice
