Default water proof sheetrock

can i use the water proof sheetrock for the inner lining of my plywood viv i'm building? any input will be highly appreciated.

no sheetrock is 'water proof' The green is more water/mold resistant than the white and is for use in more humid areas (ie shower). It is coated with a shower paint which lets it stand up to shower use... so as far as it standing in any water, no.

try epoxy on wood...

Use Cement or Ceramic Tile Backboard instead..
I know More Costly but it will outlast almost everything else in the Tank

I wouldn’t use cement or wonder board. Both are likely to raise the pH of any water that comes in contact with them, to dangerous levels. Cement takes forever to cure even if it is constantly submerged, and the water bath is changed frequently. I’ve tried to cure artificial coral pieces in the back of the toilet. After six weeks of curing, the pieces still affected some live corals in my reef. Epoxy is definitely your best bet.
