Default The Cavern tank build

So for this tank I'm using the Grimm method, i went with an Exo Terra 24x18x18 with 2 exo terra medium compact top with 6 Natural light 13W light bulbs. i gutted the top of the exo terra top so there was just the frame then i bought glass to fit in to it because i wanted to keep the tube holes in the back of the top. for water i went with the Bulk reef supply 4 stage RO/DI unit i have had RO and DI units before and there honesty is no difference but if you want to be picky well thats up to you. for misting i chose exo Terra monsoon RS 400 i have had the mist king in the past and there about the same when it comes to smaller tanks I'm my own preference.

for timer's i when with the Digital Aquatics HerpKeeper Net unit with extra power bar for up to 8 outputs for control. For fog i when with the zoo med Repti fogger and back up Repti fogger just in case because of all the fan issues i have heard about. well any ways this is what i have so far in my build.

What are you using the box on the back for? Air circulating fans?

Yes that would be the Grimm method style of air ducks in the back

like your pictures with the several angles..I see you have, what I assume, is a return hose for the water...is there a waterfall? Is the pump inside that one column? What is a "Windsor" screen? Two fans inside the other column?

Yes the return hose for the water goes under the egg crate to the water fall, and yea the pump is inside that one column for easy replacement. Windsor screen is a company here in windsor Ontario that makes window screen i thought it was appropriate to use the companies name. there is one fan column that has 2 air intakes from the bottom and 2 air outtakes on the top making it more push more air with out 2 fans

I thought about using the gopro in a similar fashion, are people actually able to connect to it without you facilitating the connection?

Great tank

Does the fog exit out your vent holes when the fan is running?

Yes it pushes the fog all over the tank but I have it set on a neat trimmer so the fans shut off for a little well the fog is on then they come on again
