Default Anyone using Ecotech Raidon LED lights on Terrariums?

Hi all,

Getting ready to start my first vivarium in about 6 years at the behest of my wife who misses the frogs we had before we started having kids and a crazy life. I have a Gen 1 radion led fixture sitting in my closet since I did not like how it looked on my reef tank and I was wondering if anyone had any luck using these on planted vivarium's?

If so, please post, I would like to talk lighting schedules and color balance a bit to see what has worked with others.

Thanks!

I am about to.

Black jungle had one on a tank at 2013 frog day.

If you have got one I would say go for it.

If it can grow coral..... I would imagine it would be ok for plants.

I think you would be better off selling it on any of the reef forums and buying different lights and should have money left over. It is way overkill for plants with less than ideal optics.

I missed my window on selling this fixture, it's a gen 1 and they are on like gen 3 at retail right now so I won't get much for the used fixture. I also have several t5 fixtures laying around to use if this dosnt pan out.

Armson, did you talk to black jungle at all about what settings they were using for their terrariums? I am really interested about color temperature and intensity settings and how to vary them during the day.

Thanks
